Currently serving as Associate Vice President in Global Clinical Development at Merck & Co., Inc., he leads late-stage programs in the metabolic space, with a strong focus on obesity and MASH. Originally trained as a pediatrician, Dr. Marquard has dedicated his career to translating scientific innovation into meaningful patient care. As an experienced clinical trialist, he has successfully designed and executed global clinical trial programs from Phase 1 through Phase 3, navigating complex regulatory landscapes to bring new therapies to the market.
