Mitchell Psotka, MD, PhD

Mitchell Psotka, MD, PhD, is a Senior Physician in the Division of Cardiology and Nephrology (DCN) in the Office of New Drugs (OND) in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) at the United States Food and Drug Administration. He also chairs the Digital Health Working Group for the Heart Failure Collaboratory, a public-private partnership with FDA, and serves as the System Chief of Heart Failure and Transplant and Director of the Reinsch Pierce Cardiomyopathy Center at Inova Schar Heart and Vascular in Falls Church, Virginia. Clinically, he specializes in heart failure, heart transplant, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary hypertension, and infiltrative cardiomyopathies. He received his medical degree and Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and completed his residency and fellowship training in internal medicine, cardiology, advanced heart failure and transplant, pulmonary hypertension, and clinical research at the University of California San Francisco.
